“Creating an engaged alumni network is beneficial for us because engaged graduates are much more likely to want to “give back” to College; that could be, for example, by coming back and sharing their experiences with prospective and current students – there are no better ambassadors for our AIMAN than our alumnus”
Seasoned alumni, who have a fascinating track record within their field, can add much value to the academic programmes. We are calling, our alumnus to return or to give a talk on Webinar about their area of expertise. This practitioner's point of view, gives students fresh and real-life insights into specific industries. One such Alumnus is Mrs. Darakshan Takmeel, Senior Product Manager, Medimpact Healthcare Systems, California, USA, who belongs to Batch 2001-2004. She has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. On 14th of October 2019, we had a Pep Talk with our Alumnus via Skype from 9.00 am to 11.00 am (IST).
She was excited and was very happy to meet our current Final year students from the department of Computer Science & Computer Applications. A total number of 80 students attended the meeting. She shared her valuable experience & reminiscences during her College days. Shifting from her Native (Odisha) to Trichy was a terrific experience for her. Further she described about how she was recruited from Cognizant and about her Career Journey.
Alumnae also expressed their views regarding necessities of quality in students for fulfilling demand of industry. Lastly the meeting was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs.K.Kalpana, Treasurer, AIMAN Alumnae Association.
