Aiman Society

Formation of AIMAN Education and Welfare Society and the consequent establishment of AIMAN College of Arts and Science for Women at Tiruchirappalli in the year 2000 marks the culmination of over two decades selfless service by the society members of AIMAN. The objects of the society in promotion of higher education among the young women in general, who are identified as economically and educationally most backward.

The aims of the Society in starting AIMAN Women’s College is both(i) to create an awareness among the members of the community to the imperative need for making womenfolk highly educated and make available the necessary facilities for the young women to pursue higher education in an environment that does not violate established norms of ethical values of society. These goals of the Society are steadily being realized by the grace of Almighty.

The College which started functioning with humble student strength of forty in the first year has achieved over 750 on its role as it steps into the eleventh year itself. This surely is an indication of recognition being accorded to the College by the community. The result of the students in the University Examination is exhilarating both in terms of quantitative and qualitatively. All the Undergraduate and Postgraduate candidates presented by the College to the University Examination is not only did pass in the examination but also has been achieved high distinctions and University ranks.

The College which has been blessed by Almighty with a highly service minded promoters committed to the cause of Women empowerment, their knowledge, exposure to the realities of the society to become self reliant to meet community.
